I was driving along the other day when I passed these wonderful yellow fields. I pulled over a took a few pictures to capture the moment, and also in the rush of life to remind myself that sometimes just to ‘stand and stare’ is a delight. A delight that sometimes I fail to take as there is the next item on the agenda pressing us forward.<\/p>\n
Yellow is the colour of the Inspirer in Insights Discovery, the Profiling system that I love so much as it can, and does, help people make life changing steps in their performance. At an individual level, at a team level and also making a big impact at a business level too – if we allow it. And that is the point – if we allow it.<\/p>\n
I was fortunate, as I passed these fields the road was quiet and there was an easy place to pull over and stop. I wondered as I drove off if I would have made the effort if it was less easy. I have to admit that the picture probably would not have got taken; more importantly though, I would not have taken time to stop the pace of my day and think, admire and leave feeling inspired.<\/p>\n
With the wonderful technology that we can now carry in a pocket, such pictures are easy to take. The capturing of images to be stored in our electronic files….but sometimes our lives can become a series of pictures that record the pace of what we do; and yet we don’t take time to enjoy. How many of the pictures we take will be looked at again?<\/p>\n
I love to be able to take pictures of things that catch my eye. Indeed, I have published books with pictures because I enjoy sharing what I have seen. This also raised some questions which made me think:<\/p>\n
So what questions can you think of to inspire you?<\/p>\n
Well I also find yellow a fun colour that makes me smile – so that is good enough reason to admire these brightly coloured fields. And no, I fortunately do not suffer with hay fever!<\/p>\n
