I was recently working with some clients, and what a great start to a new year. We were using Insights Discovery to provide some really good and useful development that is brilliant for the individual, the team and the business. These clients are great people, good at what they do and part of a successful business – and they continue to invest in their own development.
This is an interesting ‘take’ on some of the doom and gloom we are continually subjected to from the media and every other naysayer we come into contact with.
Perhaps there is a reason why these people are successful…..could it be to do with the reality that they continue to invest in their own development?
I really do feel that by utilising the best learning that you can, you stay fresh, you keep growing as an individual, you keep growing a successful business.
I am not suggesting that you just splash money around without any focus. I am suggesting that good focussed development can pay massive dividends. A past President of America said that investment in one’s self pays the best interest. Tony Buzan, the mind mapping guru, said that pouring money into your brain provides the best return. So perhaps there may be something in this.
Insights Discovery is a fantastic and fun way of either starting or developing the journey of learning, of self discovery. Discovery that will help you, your team and your business excel. It is based on the work of Carl Jung, the Swiss psychologist and is probably the most powerful and accurate instruments available in the world today. Having used many other tools in the past I find this is certainly the most ‘accessible’ and has substantial depth too. This last comment is crucial should I wish to help take a client on a much longer and deeper journey of development.
Well, on this day I had a great group to work with, some new learning and the opportunity to share something that I love – because importantly, it is something that does make a difference to people. As the saying from Heraclities goes:
“When a person enters a river for the second time it is neither the same river nor are they the same person.”
Having immersed a few more people in the river of Insights Discovery learning I went on my way. Realising that whilst I may have been the teacher on this occasion, my knowledge had expanded too and perhaps I was no longer the same person.
